Call to ‘End Plastic Pollution’ on Earth Day

Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Commemorating the Earth Day 2018, the officers and staff of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Nagaland led by the PCCF & HoFF, I. Panger Jamir, IFS undertook a cleanliness drive at the picturesque village of Dzuleke valley, a popular tourist spot interspersed with a number of sites meant for picnickers and tourists.  

Colluding on the theme for this year ‘End Plastic Pollution’, the officers and the staff cleaned the area of waste plastics and bottles in a short drive during which the PCCF & HoFF reiterated the need to maintain the clean environment of Dzuleke valley and other such areas. He stated on responsible tourism and that maintaining the pristine nature is not the responsibility of only the land owners but also of the visitors as well.
