
Kohima, March 13 (MExN): In an initiative to provide a platform for local artists from the all districts of Nagaland, to showcase their talent in Hindi music, Indian Army has announced the conduct of a mega musical event ‘Fusion of The Bands’ in Dimapur, to foster a sense of unity, diversity, and national pride through the universal language of music.
‘Fusion of The Bands’ will be a three-stage event showcasing the immense talent, to perform in Hindi music that lies within the region. The first stage will be an online preliminary audition and is open to bands and performers from all genres.
Bands and performers can register and submit their entries on fusionofthebands@gmail.com or send their entries on whatsapp to +917875056274. The last date for submission of entries is March 15, 2024.
The short listing of 12 bands will be carried out by the organisers, stated a press release issue by PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.
The second stage/semifinals for the 12 bands will be held on March 26. Eminent personalities from the musical field will judge and select 6 bands for the finale. Details of venue and timings will be intimated to the semi-finalists.
The third stage/the grand finale for the competing six bands will be held on March 28 at Dimapur. The bands will perform in front of distinguished and eminent judges, from the field of music. Various guest artistes to include Imna Yaden, Eva Rongmei, NK Naga, Akumsen Lemtur, Aloboli Kinimi and Prashant Tamang Winner of Indian Idol Season 3 will render musical performances during the finale.
