The Phesama Village Council (PVC) today called for placing a proper mechanism to keep Kisama clean throughout the year.
Naga Heritage village Kisama is the main venue of the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland.

Kuotsu expressed deep concern over the random disposal of waste at Kisama with plastics and liquor bottles. He said that both Phesama and Kigwema have prohibited the sale of liquor within the village.

He argued that despite Nagaland been declared as “Dry State” and NLTP Act in place in the state, there were report of availability of liquor at Kisama as empty bottles litter around. Kuotsu appealed the state government to insist proper etiquette to maintain the prestige of Kisama round the year.
