The Society felt that climate change is a Global problem, and yet each one of us had the power to make a difference. Even small changes in our daily behavior can help prevent green house gas emissions without affecting our quality of life. Infact, they can help save us money.
Hence, the Society directs all Presidents of Eco-Clubs registered under its wing to make necessary arrangements in their own villages and Towns to observe the “Earth Hour” on March 26, 2011 from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm by switching off the lights.
“We hope to be well on our way to a more eco-friendly future, where climate change tops every agenda and is addressed by leaders from Governments, businesses and communities. Until we reach that point, we hope that all Nagas will add their voices to Earth Hour’s Call,” stated the Society.
