Campaign on centrally sponsored schemes at Tronger

Tuensang, October 26 (DIPR): Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Directorate of Field Publicity Tuensang organised a special awareness campaign on centrally sponsored schemes at community hall Tronger Village, Tuensang.  

The meeting was attended by the Field Publicity Officer, EAC Chari, Village Councils Members and denizens of the village. The programme was organised on RMNCH+A with special focus on Mission Indradhanush, population stabilisation, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and anaemia among adolescent girls. Dr. Asangla, SMO Longkhim was the resource person of the programme.  

The Field Publicity Officer in his introductory speech gave a briefing on the objective of the Field Publicity Office. The FP works in giving information on Centrally Sponsored Programmes and schemes. 

The main objective is to give information, educate and communicate which will give awareness of the programmes and its implementations, he added.

The Village council Chairman welcomed the gathering and appreciated the Ministry for giving such awareness. The EAC Chari also encouraged the citizens of the village to learn more of the Centrally Sponsored so that the proper implementation can be achieved with the awareness.  

The resources person of the function discussed on RMNCH+A, its concepts and components. She also deliberated on the mother and child safety during the pre-natal to post nadal and its routine immunization. She also deliberated on healthy adolescents and healthy society, mother and child safety and the diseases in details and its consequences, how to avail maximum advantage of the medical assistance from the health centers and hospitals and also how community can play an important role to help avail its benefits. She also highlighted on the government programmes on different diseases, availing safety measures and medicines. She further advised the villagers to learn about the Government's schemes and use it to their maximum advantage for the welfare of the village and the villagers.  

A healthy baby contest was also organized where out of 21 babies where six babies in the age group of 0-1 and 1- 2 years categories were awarded the healthy babies award of the day. Another highlight was a rally on the theme of the programme.
