Dimapur, March 31 (MExN): Street play was performed by CAN Dimapur under the aegis of the District Health Society at Doyapur on Adolescent Health on March 30. The play was performed around the vicinity of St. George School and Gamadi Vidhy Bharati School at Dhansiripar.
The play was set against the life of a student studying away from home. The play focused on the ill effects of early/teen’s pregnancy and on young adolescent health in general. The aim of the play was to create awareness on ARSH and also to urge the adolescents to avail services provided at Youth Friendly Clinic attached to District Hospital and ARSH Clinic at Dhansiripar CHC which are set up specially to address any issues related to the adolescence.
Jenpu, CAN Youth also shared his experiences to the students and also emphasized the importance of leading a healthy life for a brighter future. After the play, verbal feedbacks were taken from selected audience to assess the learning outcome of the message. The youth also shared that through the play they have come to realize the importance of leading a healthy life style and choosing responsible friends.
