Earlier the Government of Nagaland acquired 'pink buses' and introduced 'oil palm trees' though the former didn't align with our society and the latter our fragile ecosystem because New Delhi provided funds!
Now it looks like some of our selfless politicians and think-tanks in the higher echelon of governance have conjured up a not so brilliant proposal to ask Delhi 2.5B rupees to build a luxury hotel at Dzukou valley.
Who knows, our state's politicians might next propose to build an artificial desert in the middle of Nagaland to attract tourists by importing sand from Rajasthan if Delhi agrees to give the money!
Our state assembly might even reconsider a ban on cow slaughter if the centre offers us some 100000 Billion rupees to clear forest and built ranches for grazing sheep, camels, horses and DONKEYS to enable us to consume their meat in place of the holy cow, the source of beef!
Money opens most doors, hearts and minds but hoping that the plan to build a luxury hotel inside or the periphery of Dzukou valley has not received a nod from the local community.
