Pfütsero, February 13 (MExN): A Common Platform programme was conducted for the 16th Pfütsero Constituency on February 13 at the Local Ground, Pfütsero with around two thousand people in attendance.
All the four contesting candidates of 16th Constituency Pfutsero – Neiba Kronu NDPP, Kewekhape Therie INC, Thenucho Tünyi NPF and Vivolie (Avolie) Kezo NPP gave 15 minutes each speech in which they gave brief highlights of their respective party manifesto, vision and programs, stated a press release received here.
Dr. Küzhopoyo Tünyi, Convener, Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) stated the purpose of Clean Election Movement and requested all the voters to keep themselves from being corrupted by holding Christian principles as God sees all things and no one can hide from the sight of God. Kekhwengulo Lea, President CPO in his sharing appealed to all the candidates to stand true to what they have said in the Common Platform.
He also appealed all the voters, party workers and villages to maintain peace during this time of election. He exhorted people to refrain from using abusive languages that will hurt others. He further stated that no intoxicating elements be allowed across Chakhesang areas, for which volunteers are entrusted to check therefore seeking the cooperation of all.
A special song was presented by the students Baptist Theological College. The resolution of Youth Society of Pfütsero Town was presented which stated the desire of the youth to keep Pfutsero Town clean and peaceful. They affirmed that if anyone is found disturbing the peaceful atmosphere by using drinks or any anti-social activities, they will be dealt with seriously. The programme was summed up with a benediction by Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, President Chakhesang Baptist Church Council.
