CANSSEA executives with AISGEF officials during the two-day NEC meeting in Srinagar.
Kohima, September 14 (MExN): A team of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), led by its president Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, attended the All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Srinagar on September 12 and 13.
During the meeting, Tsanglao extended CANSSEA's unflinching support to AISGEF for taking up the issue of pay revision with the 8th Central Pay Commission on priority, with a minimum fitment factor of 3.25 or higher, as considered appropriate, so that all states benefit from the revision of pay.
He said CANSSEA, along with other sister associations, was engaged with the state government on streamlining the issue of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) induction for non-State Civil Services on the basis of meritocracy.
Tsanglao also highlighted the implementation of the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), a comprehensive health insurance scheme of the state government ensuring cashless treatment for all employees and pensioners at hospitals both within and outside the state.
He informed that CANSSEA reiterated its continued support for reverting from the New Pension Scheme to the Old Pension Scheme.
At the NEC meeting, CANSSEA also expressed its deep appreciation to the state government for the timely payment of Dearness Allowance to its employees.
CANSSEA Press Secretary Siewatho S Nyusou said many important issues, proposals and demands concerning the welfare of employees from various states were discussed and deliberated upon at the meeting.
Another key decision taken at the meeting was to conduct a national rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on December 12, 2026, he said.
