Kohima, July 28 (MExN): In continuation of an ongoing endeavour, the PHQ has established a subsidiary canteen at PHQ, Kohima, especially for the Nagaland Police Personnel and staffs. The canteen, according to a press note issued by Rupin Sharma, IPS, ADGP (L&O), is selling products at CPC (Central Police Canteen) rates and at par with the army CSD canteens all over the country. From a bar of soap to high end refrigerators, consumers having valid I.Ds can avail this privilege. For some items, orders have to be placed in advance.
The privilege is not limited to serving personnel alone but also to all retired personnel, widows, gallantry awardees, and other uniformed personnel like Home guards, fire services etc.
As a welfare measure, it is envisaged that the marginal profit acquired from the canteens would also be re-circulated for the welfare of the Police force. It is planned to cover all Units of Nagaland Police in the near future and continue with its yeoman service to all dedicated serving personnel in humility with the aim 'Security, SErvice and sacrifice'. All Police Officers and family members are encouraged to avail the facility. It may be noted that, two subsidiary canteens are already functioning, one at NAPTC, Chumukedima and the other at 15th NAP (IR) also at Chumukedima.
