
Zunheboto, May 18 (MExN): The Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Office, Zunheboto, conducted a three day capacity building orientation training programme under National Livestock Mission (NLM) 2015-16 for the block farmers of the district at Veterinary Hospital from May 16 to 18. The training programme was attended by 38 livestock farmers from different blocks of the district, a press release informed.
Topics on various economically important diseases, their prevention, control measures, technical indications for a sustainable farm management systems and adoption of Artificial Insemination (A.I.) in a dairy farm with various practical demonstrations on heat detection techniques for right time insemination, etc. were covered during the three day programme. The resource persons included: Dr. Ikato, FM. SPBC, Akuloto; Dr. Bocto Sumi, VAS Vety. Hospital, Zbto; and Arong Jamir, Supervisor Vety. Hospital, Zbto.
Group discussions and interactions on practical issues faced in a farm were also taken up during the programme.
