Attendees of a four-day capacity building training programme on meat production held at from May 21 at Tamzaipa Conference Hall, Jalukie, Peren.

Peren, May 26 (MExN): A four-day capacity building training programme on meat production was organised by the office of the Chief Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Peren from May 21-24 at Tamzaipa Conference Hall, Jalukie, Peren.
As per a press release, on the inaugural day, Dr Toshimongla Aier, VAS (PH) Peren in the technical session, shared on the topic, “Poultry Farming: Important Tenets”
During the same, she covered a range of topics such as types of chickens available in the locality, housing system and floor space management for poultry farming, how to breed and brood commercial chicks, feeding management, vaccination schedule and health care in birds, marketing strategies, etc.
Dr. Suiyipeube Mpom, VAS Tening in an interactive session clarified the doubts raised by the trainees.
Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by Dr Suilube, Farm Manager, Jalukie, while introduction & key note address was delivered by Chief Veterinary Office, Peren, Dr Namsui Thou.
Around 50 participants took part in the training programme.
