Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): Expressing strong condemnation for the reported gang-rape and murder of a 30 year old Kyong woman in Ralan Area in Wokha district, the “GPRN/NSCN” today declared that the accused persons involved in the crime would be awarded “capital punishment” if they are found and apprehended by the “GPRN/NSCN”. Speaking on behalf of the “GPRN/NSCN” and also on behalf of the “Lotha region, GPRN/NSCN”, retired ‘Major’ RM Lotha “kilonser of national social welfare,” said that they strongly condemn the crime. He said if any of the accused involved in the crime are found, they would be awarded “capital punishment.” The nude body of the victim, identified as Rosela, was discovered in the jungles in New Ralan village under Bhandari sub-division on August 22 evening after she went missing on August 21. It is reported that she was found gang-raped and strangulated to death. It is also reported that six suspects are under police custody while two are said to be absconding.
