Holy Angels Sports Team, St Xavier’s College and Beckon FC today registered win in their respective matches at the ongoing 7th edition of Capt Late N Kengurüse, MVC Memorial Football Tournament 2023 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Holy Angels Sports - 5, A Yhome FC- 3
Holy Angels Sports team defeated A Yhome FC 5-3 in the first match. Lonkhoi connected the first goal to the team in the 33th minute and netted his second goal in the 80th minute. Tangsoi, Muthiu and Lamsong also contributed a goal each to the team. Thejasetuo fetched two goals for A Yhome while Vilhoubeituo added another goal to the team.
St Xavier’s College -2, Peace United FC- 1
St Xavier’s College, Jalukie overpowered Peace United FC 2-1.
Ipeuwangbe opened the account for St Xavier’s College in the 26th minute and the winning goal came through Eshibe in the 44th minute. A solitary goal for Peace United FC came through D S Nakro in the 45th minute.
Beckon FC-3, Vanguard Academy -2
Beckon FC defeated Vanguard Academy 3-2 in the last match of the day. Veyi, Kozo and Kuthoseyi connected a goal each for Beckon FC in the 34th, 54th and 86th minute respectively. Kati connected both the goals for Vanguard Academy in the 66th and 67th minute.
