
Kohima, March 7 (MExN): The Department of Women Development, Nagaland State Commission for Women, Nagaland State Social Welfare Board and the Nagaland State Resource Centre for Women, are jointly organizing a special Car Rally on March 8 from 8:00 am, onwards at Kohima.
This is being organized to mark the International Women’s Week starting from March 8 to 10, under the theme ‘Inspiring Change.’ Pukhayi, Parliamentary Secretary, Women Development & Sericulture will flag off the rally.
The Meeting point for the Rally will be at outside the Secretariat gate where all the participants will congregate and collectively proceed towards the Red Cross Junction to receive the Governor, who is the chief guest for the occasion. The Rally will finally proceed towards Khuochiezie Local Ground where the rally will conclude. Refreshment will be provided to the participants after the culmination of the Car Rally. The International Women’s Day program will commence at the local ground thereafter.
All modes of transport including Bicycles are welcome for the Rally. “We believe that this Car Rally is a significant gesture towards the cause of Women and anticipate your presence in the hope that you will accept our invitation and be a part of the “Inspiring Change” movement,” Mission Director, Daisy Mezhur stated in a press release.
