Tuensang, October 3 (MExN): ATMA Tuensang, Longkhim Block inaugurated Cardamom Farm School at Chimonger village on September 29 with Lijunse as the Farm Teacher.
Attended by 40 farmers, training and demonstrations on cultivation practices of large cardamom, detergent making, value addition of banana and tea processing technique were also conducted during the programme.
The resource persons were Watisenla Imsong, ATM, Moatemsu, ATM, and Temsu, Farmers Friend. Hands on demonstration on how to make banana chips and local tea were shown to the farmers.
According to a press release from office of Project Director, ATMA Tuensang, it was emphasised that detergent making, a simple and easy method, can be done especially among the womenfolk. By taking it up one can do business and earn a small amount of livelihood, it added.
