Career counselling programme held in Ungma village

Soyim Student’s Union (SSU), Ungma, Mokokchung organised a career counselling programme for students from class 9 to 12, both regular and exam appeared students at Mount Moriah School, Ungma village, Mokokchung on March 23.
SSU President, Rongsen T Imsong stated that the purpose of holding the career counselling programme was to help the students choose the right subject and a career best suited to them.

He said that each student has a unique quality and ability and with the help of such programmes, the students will be able to understand which career path to choose.

Imsong further noted that a lot of times students mostly choose their career paths on the basis of peer pressure or due to the pressure of the parents.

He expressed gradated to the resource persons for availing their time and for acknowledging the ideas and thoughts of the student union. 
He also thanked the Senyayangba Govt Hr Sec School and Mount Moriah School, Ungma village for the help and co-operation rendered towards the success of the programme.

The resource persons for the career counselling programme were Dr Limasenla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Fazl Ali College; Kilangbenla Imsong, Assistant Professor, Nagaland University; Nungshitemjen, Assistant Professor, Fazl Ali College; Imsongmeren Imsong, Inspector, Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland; Nokyenkaba Longkumer, PGT, Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School; Imertetba Imsong, GT; Senkalemba Middle School and Moanungsang, Vocational Instructor, GITI, Mokokchung.

The students were divided into groups according to their stream of studies and were given career guidance and counselling accordingly. About 70 students residing in Ungma village attended the programme.
