Dimapur, January 18 (MExN): Hollotoli School, Dimapur organised career counselling session for the students led by Jitin Chawla, Founder and Director of Centre for Career Development, Delhi on January 16.
Students of classes 9 and 10, parents and School Principal Surparna Roy Choudhury attended the session. The school stated in a press release that Jitin Chawla highlighted on the topic of challenging traditions and not just blindly following in the footsteps of the parents or give in to the family opinions. He emphasized that the students take up their careers based upon their personality which would prove to synchronise along with profession.
Chawla presented the audience with a motivational PowerPoint slide on young entrepreneurs inspiring the students to work hard and become an asset to humanity. He put forward various courses for students to take up and set guidelines for career choices according to their subject combinations. He emphasized on studying aboard with reference to several institutes across the globe, comprising with their personal interests. Chawla highlighted the emerging career options available to the students.
Parents also shared their views and opinions and were further informed about the interest of the students.
The session came to an end with Chawla dividing the students into groups and having personal interactions inspiring them to work hard to achieve their goals.
