Piphema, January 23 (MExN): Career guidance on ‘How to join the Army’ was organised by Modern College, Piphema in collaboration with 7th Assam Rifles with Major Akashdeep Attri, 7th Assam Rifles as resource person on January 23.
The programme was organised as part of the 75th Republic Day celebration which consisted of two segments, stated a press release issued by the college.
In the first segment, Major Attri highlighted the beneficial attributes of joining the army. He called upon the students to actively consider joining the army as they are at the right age at the moment. He also emphasized on students developing different skill sets and outshine in one besides their normal academics.
In the second segment, the speaker presented a meticulously articulated discourse underlining the available courses, different entry points, training period, defense institutions, physical standards and other eligibility criteria like age, qualification etc.
Altogether 200 students along with faculty participated in the programme.
