
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): With regard to the report about a Maharashtra court issuing “Arrest Warrant” against Minister for Higher & Technical Education Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, as many as five hearings have been summoned this year since February. As per court records available online, the case pertains to a civil dispute between one Monsher Fire Protection Systems Pvt Ltd and REM Enterprises with the former as the complainant and the latter as the respondent. The records state that a complaint under section 136 r/w 141,142 of the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act was registered at the Metropolitan Magistrate 23rd Court, Mumbai against REM Enterprises and Temjen Imna Along Longkumer in December 2017. The complaint petition was filed by Mumbai-based Monsher Fire Protection Systems Pvt Ltd. While the court records did not specify the details of the complaint, it has on record the number of hearings summoned. The first was in February this year and the latest on November 3. In between, three other hearings were summoned in May, June and August. However, none of the hearings could take place mainly as a result of one of the parties absenting. The hearings were entered as “Not heard cases” in the case records. As per the records, only the advocate for the complainant was present at almost all of the summoned hearings. At the hearing on November 3, only the advocate for the complainant was present. The court has fixed the next hearing on January 10, 2019. Efforts to the reach out the Minister for comment on the matter remained unsuccessful.
