Catholic church in Kidima holds seminar

Kohima, March 4 (MExN): St. Francis Xavier's Catholic Church Kidima organized a one day seminar with Reverend Father Vemedo Joseph Kezo from St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama as the resource person on March 4.  

Reverend Father Vemedo stressed on Catholic faith. He pointed out the seven sacraments of the traditional practices of Catholic church, namely Baptism (in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit), Confirmation, Eucharist (celebration of body and blood of Jesus Christ), Confession (reconciliation with God), Anointing sick with oil, Marriage and Priestly Ordained.  

Eucharist, Rev. Vemedo said, is the most important amongst the sacraments and Rosary is the best prayer, according to a press release from P. Tepekrovi Kiso. Eucharist and Rosary are the treasure of the religion and soul to enrich with God, he added. The Reverend also encouraged young people to join vocation for priest and nun, stating priests and nuns are the blessed family.  

Hymn, prayer and responding the questions were the highlights of the programme, which was attended by children, youth, and parents.
