Kohima, June 24 (MExN): Catholic Sunday School Kohima Village began its 15th Summer Camp at Christ King Jubilee Hall, Kohima Village on June 23 under the theme ‘Adventure with Christ’.
The camp is an annual programme of Catholic Sunday School Kohima Village where Sub-Juniors, Juniors, and Intermediate students get to learn more about Catholic faith and build their confidence in leadership, according to a press release received here. The 15th Summer Camp was officially declared open by Rev. Fr. Linus sdb, Principal, CKHSS Kohima, who also inspired the children with words of God in the name of Sacred Heart of Jesus. Keneingu Albert, President, CU, CKC Kohima exhorted the campers on the importance of discipline in daily life.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Vizokhonyü Victor. Ruokuovituo Robert, the Catechist invoked God’s blessing for the success of the camp, while Kethoneizo James, President CSS welcomed the campers.
On the first day, the session was initiated by the St. Emerentian Group who enlightened the campers with music through vocal exercise and basic notes of music. The most awaited Zumba hours enthralled the campers, the release said. Later in the evening, Divine Mercy Chaplet was recited in honour of Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The camp will conclude on June 25.
