Imphal, March 12 (MExN): Central Agricultural University, Imphal will organise the Agri-Youth Parliament 2026 – North East Bharat from March 21 to 23 at its Imphal campus.
According to a press release, the programme will be organised under the guidance of the Chief Patron, Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Central Agricultural University, Imphal, along with the patrons and co-patron of the event.
The Agri-Youth Parliament aims to create a platform bringing together agricultural youth with innovative ideas, aspiring agri-entrepreneurs, start-ups, successful innovators and role-model entrepreneurs. Scientists, extension professionals, researchers, academicians and progressive farmers contributing to the conservation of traditional agricultural practices and biodiversity in the region are also expected to participate.
The programme will encourage dialogue, exchange of ideas, policy perspectives and capacity building among stakeholders to help shape a sustainable and prosperous agricultural future for North East Bharat. It will also contribute to efforts aimed at preparing a roadmap for strengthening the agricultural and economic ecosystem in the North Eastern Region during the Amrit Kaal period leading up to 2047, the release stated.
Key highlights of the three-day event will include entrepreneurship-oriented interactive sessions focusing on themes such as agri-start-ups and entrepreneurial ecosystems in North East Bharat, advancing agricultural innovation and technology acceleration, strengthening commercialisation ecosystems, and promoting farm-to-market value chains and market-led agriculture.
The programme will also feature business interactions with investors and entrepreneurs, exhibitions and stalls by youth entrepreneurs and start-ups, and talks by academicians, professionals and entrepreneurs sharing their experiences and insights.
Applications are currently open for youth entrepreneurs, start-ups, innovative farmers, extension professionals, academicians and other stakeholders interested in participating in the Agri-Youth Parliament 2026.
