JALUKIE, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): The College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry at Central Agricultural University (CAU) celebrated Rajbhasha Fortnight on September 21. The event featured Dr. I. Shakuntala, the college dean, and Chief Guest Dr. Brijesh Kumar from Nagaland University, along with faculty, staff, and students.
Dr. Shakuntala opened the program, highlighting the significance of Hindi Diwas in promoting national unity and the rich linguistic heritage of India. Following her address, Dr. Kumar delivered a special lecture on the “Use of Hindi in Official Works,” urging attendees to incorporate Hindi into their professional communications.
The celebration included a variety of activities, such as Hindi poem recitations and song performances by students. Earlier, on September 14, the college had observed “Hindi Diwas” with competitions in poem recitation, extempore speech, and vocabulary, showcasing students' proficiency in Hindi. Winners received certificates during the Rajbhasha Fortnight event.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Tukheswar Chutia and Gaurav Saxena, contributing to the successful celebration of the Hindi language.
