Phek, August 3 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) Executive Secretary, Rev Khrotso Mero has expressed shock on the demise of Nguzonyi Khutsoh at Zapami village on August 1.
Rev Mero in a press note stated that Nguzonyi Khutsoh was one of the pioneer educationists in his village who had richly contributed towards the growth and development of society and the church as well. After his retirement from the teaching profession, he served the church as pastor and was actively engaged in various church leadership roles as CBCC Executive member and chairman of the Area Church Council under CBCC for many years. “In his death, the church has lost a fatherly figure and a tall church leader whose wisdom had greatly enriched the ministry of the church. His outstanding and resourceful contributions towards the cause of the gospel ministry shall remain as a source of inspirations to the upcoming generations,” Rev Mero stated.
