Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Church, Diphupar Women Department celebrated its Golden Jubilee on December 14 with the theme ‘Exalt His Name (Philippians 2:9-11).’
On the occasion, Neingupe-ü K Rhakho, Women Secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council unveiled the Jubilee Monolith and spoke on the theme.
The speaker stated that when Jesus died on the cross in obedience to God the Father, his death was ‘most humiliating and shameful’ but his humility and obedience resulted in exaltation. God raised Him from the dead to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, Rhakho maintained while calling on the congregation to fully submit to God’s will and exalt God in their lives. If we follow Christ in humility, one day we will be exalted with our Lord, she added.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Convenor, Organising Committee, Ale Lohe and Jubilee Celebration Service was led by Nei-ü Lurüo, Associate Pastor Women while Neilo-ü Wetsah welcomed the congregation and a greeting was brought by Chairperson, WCBCC WD Azüno Thele. Vepolü Nyekha who was the first Associate Pastor, Women in 1972 pronounced the Prayer of blessing while Rev Dr Vezopa Tetseo, Senior Pastor, CBC Diphupar released the Jubilee souvenir.
