Kohima, January 3 (MExN): Along with the rest of the world, the Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) observed 2021 New Year at the Church premises under the theme ‘Come Let us worship the King.’
According to a press statement issued by the Media & Publicity Committee of CBCMHK, during the service, Pastor of the Church, Rev. Dr. Wepre Mero, urged upon the congregation to live a purposeful life with vision of hope, love, care and transcending humanity by aiming at higher values of Christian life.
“The pandemic has barred all beautiful living conditions of humanity where one should take the challenges under positive aspect and live closer to God with greater visions and aim for salvation,” stated Mero. He further urged all people to maintain all health precautions and stay safe and fit.
Also during the programme, theological students enthralled the congregation with special praise. Velhusalu Naro read the word of God followed by hymn of congregation.
Meanwhile, as part of offering the first day labour to God, CBCMHK organised a social work on January 2 at the main church complex of CBCMHK, Lerie Sector Church, Hindi-Nagamese Fellowship and The Light House Prayer & Worship Centre, Tekhuba respectively by cleaning up the compounds and dismantling the decoration materials.
The Church expressed its gratitude to all those who contributed in cash and kind, and to those who were involved in the day long social work. It prayed that God would bless one and all in manifolds.
