Kohima, July 3 (MExN): The 'youth week' of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister's Hill Kohima (CBCMHK) that began on June 28 under the theme 'Stand Firm' culminated on July 3.

About 250 youth participated in the event which comprised of competitions in sports, music, and literary categories, organised by the church youth department.

Speaking on the theme, associate pastor of CBCMHK, Thujoneyi Veswüh said that youth today try to search for might or power in something else other than Christ. But the power comes from the Lord and called upon the youth as believers to always remember that. To stand firm means putting on the full armour of God, he maintained, while urging the youth to put on the full armor of God so that they can take stand against the schemes of the devil.

The two other speakers for the occasion were senior pastor of CBCMHK, Rev Dr Vevo Phesao and Associate Pastor David Chuzho, according to a press release from the CBCMHK, Media & Publicity Committee.

Youth Director CBCMHK Rakodu Nukhu gave a brief about the activities taken up so far by the youth department in the last six months. He also informed that there are over 700 youth registered under the youth department.
