Kohima, October 18 (MExN): Chiephobozou Central Council (CCC) today condemned the “dastardly act” of Jacob Krocha alias Joseph, NSCN/GPRN (K), Zhavame Village, Phek district, who demanded money from traders and construction laborers in and around Chiephobozou Town.
A press release from CCC Chairman Neichütuo Rio and Secretary Vineizo Tsürho stated the Council had intervened into the matter and requested him to appear personally and negotiate the deal as per the rule of the town council.
However, he avoided meeting the town counselors and started calling the council Chairman, shopkeepers and laborers “with dire consequences even to the extent of bombarding Chiephobozou locality if their demand is not fulfilled.”
The release further alleged that Joseph had been consecutively harassing the people of Chiephobozou through phone call from October 12 to 16.
The Council meanwhile acknowledged the sincerity and prompt action of police team for arresting the culprit in time.
It further requested every right thinking citizen to uprightly condemn such kind of criminal act and urged the concerned authority to book the culprit under appropriate section of law.
