Chumukedima, August 18 (MExN): The Chumoukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association (CCCTA) has issued a notification stating that Syndicate/Monopoly/Tender system is strictly restricted/prohibited in Chumoukedima area “as the system inflates cost of goods and illegally loots the public”.
A press release from the association warned individuals and parties of stern action if caught practicing the system.
The association has further informed all entrepreneurs/businessmen that all goods in Chumukedima Town must follow a uniform rate and added that MRP and expired goods should be strictly checked to avert penalty.
CCCTA also extended support to the Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries and the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) and urged the KMC to immediately revoke the tender/syndicate system.
