Mon, September 23 (MExN): Concerned Chee Forum (CCF) held its first fasting cum seminar programme on September 12 at Mission Centre Baptist Church, Mon Town. The first session was prayer and fasting which was held with the objective to ask God’s forgiveness and blessing for the people of Chee community and His consent and guidance for the working of CCF.
The second session was the seminar where the resource persons were Chingmei Konyak, Program Officer Hills Area Development Organization (HADO), P. Khanlong, JDA (Treasuries & Accounts) and C. Nyamto Wangsha, Principal, KHSS Mon. They spoke on communications and presentation skill, competitive exams and interview preparedness and child’s education and development respectively.
The session was chaired by M. Mankhat and concluding remark by CCF President, Y. Nockyam Wangnao. CCF President Y. Nockyam Wangnao and General Secretary P. Bonwang Konyak in a press release informed that CCF was formed on August 13, 2016 with a few concerned people from 4 Sheanghah villages to address emerging issues and work for the welfare of students and the people of its community. The four villages as one unit was originally known as Hahmongchee from where the forum derived its middle name ‘Chee’.
