Kohima, May 15 (MExN): The Chokri Chakhesang Literature Board (CCLB) is all set to hold its 2023 General Conference on May 19 at 10:00 am at Town Hall, Pfustero Town under the theme ‘Reinvigorating Mother Tongue.’
According to a press statement issued by CCLB Information & Publicity Secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho, Kudecho Khamo, Advisor, Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) & Taxes will grace the conference as the special guest.
The daylong conference will feature the inaugural session discussion hour, where all participants will be registered in the morning hour. Vechisa Venuh, Vice Chairman, CCLB will lead the inaugural session; Rev Velacuyi Khamo, Pastor, Pfutsero Town Baptist Church will invoke opening prayer; keynote address will be delivered by CCLB Chairman, Ariyi Nienu; Thukuvelu Sakhamo will enthral the audience with special folk tune; and CCLB Joint Secretary Lhuvesayi Lohe will propose note of gratitude.
Meanwhile CCLB General Secretary (Tech), Dr Medongoi Rhakho will be the moderator during the discussion hour while CCLB Assistant Secretary Vesavolu Rhakho will be recording the proceedings.
CCLB Advisor Convenor, Zhovehu Lohe and CCLB Diploma Certificate Committee member, Nuveta Khesoh will be the resource persons dealing under the topics ‘The need & importance of mother tongue’ and ‘Progress & status of Chokri literature works’ respectively.
The CCLB has invited at least 2 leaders/representatives from various frontal organizations—CPO, CSU, CMA, CYF. It further invited representatives from all Chokri Speaking villages VCC, VDB Secretary, Students Union, Youth Organization, Women Organization, Churches, teachers and well wishers to be part of the conference. Working lunch will be provided, it was informed.
