DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 4 (MExN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has termed the redeployment of two Post Graduate Teachers from Tuensang GHSS and Thangjam GHSS as a “random move by the Department of School Education.”
According to a press release issued by CCSU president, Chingmak Kumchuba and education & statistics secretary, James Imlong, two PGT teachers (History), one from Tuensang GHSS and another from Thangjam GHSS were redeployed to GHSS, Diphupar and GHSS Niuland respectively vide notification NO.EDS/GHSS/4-3/2007(Pt-1)/343.
Condemning such random relocation of teachers in the middle of the academic session, the CCSU said the department should realize the amount of ill effects that will bring to the students’ community of Tuensang district.
Pointing out that the GHSS, Tuensang and GHSS, Thangjam is in need of more PGTs so as to cover the given syllabus of the academic year; the CCSU said the department should have instead deputed more teachers in the much deprived government educational institutions instead of transferring out teachers without anyone to relive them.
