DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): The Chingmei Mütli Wedoshi Thangjam (Chingmei Citizen Students’ Union) organized its 3rd Literary cum Sports meet on September 28 and 29 at Chingmei village under the theme ‘Uplifting the Unseen Talents’. The event was graced by P Mulang, General Secretary, NPF, Kohima as the Chief Guest. The student of the village as well as teachers took taken active part in the events. Pastor Chingmei Baptist Church, B Beshang invoked God’s blessing. President CMWT pronounced welcome address and Council chairmen of both Chingmei and New Chingmei also spoke on the occasion. The Chief Guest thanked the Union for organizing such an event. He encouraged the students to work hard in their studies and also to become an agent of change for the society. He further explained to the students as well as village community the idea of clean election and called upon the citizen to put into action. The topic ‘Clean Election’ was given for the speech competition and ‘preservation of wildlife’ was given as the topic for painting competition.
