DIMAPUR, JUNE 26 (MExN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has demanded immediate replacement of the Principal, Government ITI, Tuensang within 10 days.
Alleging dissatisfactory performances by the principal in running the GITI, Tuensang, the CCSU in a representation addressed to the Director, Directorate of Employment and Skill Development informed that it has locked the principal’s office after it visited the institution after hearing multiple grievances faced by the staff and students.
The CCSU has alleged that the principal has been absent from the institution since October 2017; study/training materials are yet to be received by the students for the academic year 2017-18, while the students have not received their stipend (scholarship) since October 2017.
It also pointed out that even the vehicle maintenance and fuel expenses were not made available for the academic year 2017-18, the institutions were running without library books, students were not issued supplementary exam forms for 2016-17 batches and the hostel was still not functioning.
While demanding immediate replacement of the principal within 10 days, the CCSU vowed that it will not compromise the concerns of the students at any cost.
