CCSU, PRSU enforce third phase of agitation over NSSB reservation

Tuensang, December 4 (MExN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) on Friday said that it would continue to extend ‘full cooperation’ to the ENSF in future course of agitations, till their demand is met by the Government of Nagaland.

In a press release on Friday, the CCSU stated that it had successfully implemented the third phase of agitation on December 3 and 4 as per the directives given by the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF), pertaining to the six point Charter of Demand put forth to the Government of Nagaland.

It said that the agitations have been on since November 11 and no untoward situations have been reported. The Confederation also urged the Government of Nagaland to give justice to the genuine demand of the ENSF for the better cause of the Nagas in general.

The Pathso Range Students' Union (PRSU) meanwhile issued a statement on Friday, informing that the third phase of agitation has begun within its jurisdiction.

“As per ENSF's directive, the agitation was carried out in a peaceful manner and there was no untoward incident. There was no office activity at the Panso administrative office,” the statement read.

It also stated that the PRSU would follow the directives of ENSF and Khiamniungan Students' Union (KSU) for steps to be taken in the following days.
