CHÜMOUKEDIMA, JULY 5 (MExN): The Chümoukedima District Football Association (CDFA) has issued a directive making it mandatory for all football clubs, futsal teams, academies and individual players operating within the district to notify and obtain prior approval before organising or participating in any football, futsal or related tournaments.
The directive is in compliance with guidelines issued by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) through Circular No. 35 dated June 19, 2024. The CDFA stated that participation in unapproved tournaments will be considered a violation of AIFF, Nagaland Football Association (NFA), and CDFA regulations.
As per AIFF recommendations, registered players, coaches and referees are not permitted to take part in unauthorised or unregistered tournaments. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of clubs and academies to ensure that any tournament they organise is first approved by the concerned district or state football association. Violations of this directive will invite disciplinary action against the individuals or teams involved.
The CDFA has therefore directed all stakeholders to submit formal notification to its office well in advance of any proposed tournament or participation. Failure to comply may lead to suspension, disqualification from future tournaments, or other penalties as per the rules laid down by AIFF, NFA and CDFA.
For any queries or clarification, the CDFA may be contacted at +91 70054 68686 or +91 93661 89424, or via email at cdfa2022@gmail.com. The association’s office is located in Chümoukedima.
