CDPP Task Force attend training

Mon, June 1 (MExN): Two-day training for the CDPP Task Force - early warning, search & rescue and first aid was conducted by Mon ADP, World Vision India in collaboration with District Disaster Management Authority, Mon on May 25 and 26 at Council Hall, Mon Town.  

The resource persons were from SDRF team led by N. Vikiho Awomi, S.I Home Guard & Civil Defense, Mon and the medical team led by Dr. Ayong, MO, District Hospital Mon.  

Both the teams took turn to train 84 participants representing 21 villages under Mon and Wakching RD Blocks. The training was not only theoretical but the participants got an opportunity to learn practically along with the team and also every session was followed by discussion hour where the participants could clear their doubts.  

Laltanlien Khobung, Program Manager, Mon ADP also spoke on the importance of Community Disaster Preparedness Plan. He encouraged the participating villages for strong CDPP which other neighboring villages can replicate.
