
Kohima, February 15 (MExN): The Central Executive Council (CEC) of the NNC has adopted resolutions to further strengthen the NNC through the participation of all the Naga people.
The meeting which was held in Kohima on February 12 resolved that “the will of our people to be a free and independent people and a sovereign nation manifested through the Plebiscite of May 16, 1951 shall ever be the outstanding principle that we uphold.”
The Council also directed regions to fulfill the conventional and the constitutional provisions of “our National Yezhabo which is the mandatory service of our people.”
It resolved to continue to uphold “our national stand and protect our rights of freedom” under the leadership of NNC President Gen (Retd) Thinoselie M Keyho.
The NNC meanwhile expected each and every Naga to come forward and join hands in nation building, “wherein we can be proud and remain satisfied as a distinct people and a nation.”
