Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): Community Educational Centre Society (CECS), Dimapur provided an ambulance to PHC Kangtsung as part of the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), a project supported by The Hans Foundation. The handing over programme was held in Kangtsung Village on July 3 with Subonenba Longkumer, Director, CECS as the main patron in the presence of Dr. Imlinaro, SMO Tuli and Kangtsung Village Council.
During the programme, chairman of Kangtsung village, M Mar Lemtur appreciated the initiative and support from CECS headed by its Director towards developing healthcare in the village. Meanwhile, Dr. Imlinaro, SMO CHC, Tuli lamented government’s inability and lack of action in providing an ambulance to the people of the area to address their growing woes.
Subonenba Longkumer, Director CECS called upon the people to have a feeling of belongingness and ownership while making use of the ambulance facility and also to use it for the benefit of the adjoining villages. He also offered to sponsor the expenses of the driver and the vehicle for one year which will be directly monitored and reports on the services will be submitted on timely intervals.
A press note stated that the programme ended with vote of thanks delivered by I Nungkum Pongen, Chairman of Village Health Committee (VHC) and benediction pronounced by Limawapang, Coordinator MMU, CECS.
