
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): Don Bosco Youth & Educational Services (DBYES) under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Salew SDB and with the support of donors supporting the Don Bosco Prison Ministry donated 15 ceiling fans to Central Jail (10 pieces) and District Sub Jail (5 pieces) of Dimapur district.
Fr. Peter Salew SDB mobilised funds with the help of friends and well-wishers of Don Bosco Prison Ministry, Dimapur Province for purchasing ceiling fans, a press release stated.
Meanwhile, in commemoration of the 77th Independence Day, Don Bosco Youth & Educational Services (DBYES) led by Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Salew SDB, in collaboration with the brothers of Salesian college organised a friendly volley ball match for the inmates of Central Jail Dimapur.
The event commenced with a prayer by Rev. Pastor Neli and an address by Fr. Peter Salew followed by two friendly volley ball matches. The inmates of Central prison and the brothers of Salesian college formed 2 teams each, with enthusiasm two teams from each side engaged in a spirited and remarkable match. DBYES also donated volley balls and nets for the prison to further encourage sportsmanship.
