Celebration of world mental health awareness month in Kohima on October 19.

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): In celebration of World Mental Health Awareness Month, Young Minds NE joined hands with Assam Rifles to host an engaging mental health awareness event at the AWO Building, Kohima on October 19.
Titled “Offline Club-Real Connection is Real Life,” the event focused on the importance of digital detoxification and building meaningful connections. The day was packed with fun and learning, featuring interactive group games, heartfelt poems, and powerful personal stories shared by participants.
A major highlight was a live performance by the Assam Rifles Jazz Band. The event also included an insightful presentation on “Understanding Mental Health,” offering valuable takeaways for all attendees.
Participants ranged from Assam Rifles families to college and school students, making it a dynamic space for learning, connecting, and sharing experiences—away from the digital world.
The Offline Club approach marks a refreshing and unorthodox angle in mental health awareness, shifting focus from traditional discussions to experiential learning through digital detox and real-life social interactions.
This programme was especially important for the youth, who are often at the crossroads of mental health challenges in a hyper-connected world.
By fostering genuine human connections and creating a safe space for self-expression, it empowers individuals to understand mental health in a more relatable way, making a deep and lasting impact on the community.
The Club thanked Assam Rifles for their unwavering support in championing this vision and mission for wellness in Nagaland.
“Their collaboration has been instrumental in making this initiative a huge success, contributing to the overall well-being of the society, especially the youth,” the Offline Club stated.
