DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): In preparation of the ensuing assembly election poll scheduled for February 27, BJP National General Secretary for Organisation, Ramalal accompanied by North East Organisation in-charge, Ajay Jamwal paid a two-day visit to Dimapur from February 8 to 9.
A press note from the BJP Nagaland media cell informed that the central leaders held a series of meetings, including a “moral boosting meeting” with the BJP Dimapur party workers along with BJP candidates; a joint co-ordination meeting with pre-poll alliance partners—(BJP-NDPP); and a joint meeting with the BJP election Management Committee, Sub-Committees and BJP Core Committee Members.
The National BJP General Secretary, Ramlal said that the party workers must work hard to achieve the goals of the Prime Minister’s development agenda and peace in the region taking all in to the boat.
Interacting with the various members of the committees, the visiting central BJP leaders were satisfied with the preparedness of the BJP State Unit, according to the press note. Suggestions and instructions were given to the party workers to carry out their assigned responsibilities with dedication and loyalty.
The BJP Election Management Committee has requested the Central BJP head office for the following Star campaigners in the first phase to lead the Campaigning programmes in Nagaland, namely Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National BJP President Amit Shah, Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Information and Broadcasting & Textiles Smriti Irani, Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari and Minister of State for Home affairs Kiren Rijiju.
Meanwhile, the party has appealed to all its rank and file to extend their full support and cooperation to the alliance partner NDPP in seats where there is no BJP candidate. The party meanwhile hoped that the NDPP would reciprocate the same by supporting the BJP in the respective seats.
