DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): Central Colony, Walford was inaugurated on July 18 with Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor, Power as special guest. In view of the present COVID-19 pandemic situation the programme was organised with limited number of participants.
The special guest encouraged the colony leaders and residents to continue to live in unity through which peace and prosperity will prevail among the citizens of the colony and surrounding just as the motto of the colony is given ‘Peace and Prosperity.’
He assured and extended his support for the development of the colony. He also encouraged the gathering to follow safety precautions like washing hands, wearing masks and maintaining physical distance in order to save oneself and others from this pandemic.
The programme was led by Zulutemjen, Convenor, Planning Committee, CCW and Rev. Moses Murry, Advisor, CCW pronounced the blessing and dedication of the monolith. After the inauguration programme, a short meeting and installation of new office bearers was held at NR Zeliang’s residence.
Meanwhile the following office bearers were selected for the tenure of 2020 – 2025 and installation prayer was offered by Pastor Angam, Chairman Walford Area Pastor’s Fellowship:
Kato Yeptho, Chairman; T Lumchamo Lotha, Secretary; NR Zeliang; Eheusing Zeliang, Finance Secretary; Holohon Yepthomi, Advisor; Sashilemba Kichu, Advisor; and Rev Moses Murry, Advisor.
The vote of thanks was pronounced by Holohon Yepthomi, Advisor, CCW, while benediction and blessing of food was pronounced by Pastor Peiuhau N. Hau, Hindi Baptist Church.
