Zunheboto, June 3 (MExN): Central nodal officers for coordinating activities of Jal Shakti Abhiyan ‘Catch the Rain 2022,’ visited Zunheboto on June 1 to observe the status of the ongoing and completed works on water conservation in the district.
According to a DIPR report received on June 3, the officers, Kushagra Mittal and Saket Kumar also interacted with Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali who highlighted the activities taken up under the campaign. The activities included setting up of Jal Shakti Kendra at the office of the Executive Engineer, Water Resources Department, geo-tagging and enumeration of existing water bodies, construction of farm ponds and springshed based watershed development.
On June 2, field visits were conducted by the central nodal officers who were accompanied by district Heads of Offices of Water Resources Department, Land Resources Department and Public Health Engineering Department, the DIPR reported.
