Centre sanctions medical college in Mon

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 4 (MExN): The Central Government has given approval and sanction for setting up of a medical college in Mon by upgrading the district hospital.  

Nagaland Health Minister, Pangnyu Phom informed this on Twitter on September 4 evening. “This landmark decision of the Union Government will boost Nagaland Government’s effort to revolutionise the state health sector. The approval of a new Medical College has fulfilled the long cherished dream of the people of Nagaland and Eastern Nagas in particular,” the Minister stated.

The Health Minister had in January this year revealed that the State would be getting its second medical college in Mon. Meanwhile, work is underway for another medical college in Kohima.
