Ceremonial Attestation Parade of VIII Batch

  Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): The Ceremonial Attestation Parade of the VIII Batch condensed Basic course for Asst Comdts & JCOs of Nagaland village Guards was held at NAP Training centre Quarter Guard, Chumukedima on November 2. Nine officers took the attestation pledge. The trainees had undergone a four months condensed basic course.   DIG (Trg & Bdr) Aotemsu, IPS reviewed the Parade while Advisor for Fisheries, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics, L. Khumo attended the programme as special guest. While delivering his speech he said what you've learned during the training should always kept in mind and also the power and authority that comes along with the uniform must not be misused. He also said that the pledge that has taken must be the guiding principle throughout their service life, so that they could live up to the call of duty. He advised the personnel to be the role models in the society.   During the ceremony, Asst Comdts S. Yamso Khiamniungan won the award for Best in PT, Best in written test, Best in Firing and All round Best; Asst comdts L.K Heno Khiamniungan won the award in Best in weapon Handling and Best in Drill; while Subedar James won the award for Best in Endurance and Best in BPET.
