
Dimapur, October 11 (MExN): Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) conducted prayer fellowship cum leadership seminar on October 9, at Rengma Baptist Church Dimapur. In a press release by General Secretary, CFD, the fellowship cum leadership training was started with a welcome address by the Chairman CFD, Reverend Moses Murry. Reverend Dr Kavito Zhimo Principal, Trinity Theological College, Dimapur highlighted some of the important qualities of Christian leadership and stressed on integrity as the trademark of all leaders, where a good leader must be conscious of doing the right things at all times.
He also mentioned three core things happening in the society, organization and churches - friction, confusion and under-performance, quoting Alwin Toffler that the new generation of illiterate people are those who don’t learn, unlearn and relearn and further urged the leaders to learn, unlearn and relearn by developing moral and spiritual atmosphere, developing Godly life and getting people to follow you and getting the job done and developing disciplined life.
Reverend Dr P Dozo spoke on the topic ‘Biblical Approach to Accountability. He said that the success of the church is the excellence of Christian accountability which is characterized in comprehensive packages of spiritual, moral, financial and ministry aspects. He lamented that the world, India and Nagaland need biblical values reflected in our daily life.
Reverend Dr C. P. Anto, Principal of NEISSR, and secretary CFD proposed vote of thanks. There were 102 participants from 32 churches of Dimapur. Fr. Anto also expressed the urgent need of training the church leaders and others in peace building skills like dialogue, mediation and negotiation so that they may be able to prevent and intervene in the family, community, and organizational conflicts.
