Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): The Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Dimapur has opened a special facilitation counter for on-the-spot GST queries as part of the ongoing GST Pakhwada (Fortnight).
With the objective of facilitating and engaging with taxpayers, CGST Dimapur is organising the GST Pakhwada at its office premises from June 16. The office is located on the 5th Floor, Agarwal Tower, NST Colony, City Tower Area, I. Vikheshe Road, Dimapur.
The event, which concludes on June 30, is a lead-up to GST Day on July 1, marking eight years since the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax regime in India.
A press release from CGST Dimapur informed all taxpayers, trade associations, GST practitioners and other stakeholders that the Pakhwada will also feature interactions with trade and industry through open house sessions to address trade-related queries.
The facilitation programme will be held on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM till June 30.
GST has played a vital role in unifying the country's tax structure, simplifying compliance for taxpayers, and improving the ease of doing business, the CGST Dimapur stated.
