DIMAPUR, JANUARY 27 (MExN): The 69th General Council of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council was held at Leshemi Baptist from January 24 to 26. Delegates representing all the CBCC Churches participated in the annual meeting under the theme ‘Stronger Together.’
The meeting resolved to commit themselves to the “calling of the Church to pray, live, give and witness together’ and thereby testify to the world that “together we are stronger.”
It urged fellow believers to join in prayer “invoking God’s power to bring about spiritual renewal and transformation in our family, society, institutions, and in the work places.”
The general council called for strengthening the peace and unity of believers while reaffirming commitment to be “more sincere, consistent and faithful in giving our time, talents and treasures to God especially in tithes and offerings for His ministry.”
In view of addressing ecological challenges and ensuring sound environmental stewardship, the council resolved to undertake mass tree plantation with the support and co-operation of CPO, Village councils and other civil societies.
“We reaffirm our commitment to actively participate in witnessing together towards fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ,” a press release from the CBCC Executive Secretary, Rev Khrotso Mero stated.
